0 madrid/köln 05.08.03 llegada a colonia/köln en la noche desconcierto, catedral, cena frugal con pan italiano y la búsqueda de un refugio el primer personaje, el innombrable, nos conmina a pasar la noche en el un parque a la orilla del Rihn, el famoso Reihn Park. buenas praderas, tranquilidad y estrellas. aun así montamos la tienda. |

1 köln/weimar 06.08.03 we wake up with the sunrise autostop step by step, driver by driver: Enno: able to drive with the knees. goa music. one of those old mercedes. impresionante Maria: italoromana. we taste again our not forgotten italian. owner of 2 fastfoodpizza restaurants has a dream: living in a island. Filipo: second italian of the day. from a village near Enrico´s one: castello franco, beneto. our italian keeps improving Volker: after 2 hours, Gießen is not the best place. he goes to northen sea to make a surprise to his girlfriend. first traffic jam. hot hot hot. this one the first of a long list of dirty cars. Stephen: el personaje del día. with him and his knowledge we enter in ehemalige eastgermany. we are nearly touching erfurt. Sebastian: the one that has a house in the habitated bridge from Erfurt, the one than when we arrive to the town changes his filthy car for an elegant luxurious mercedes. he ofeers us a room on his bridge. we reject, sorry Seb! a punto de aceptar la invitación tras quedar prendados por el puente, el rio y su luz. Cristoph: the sun disapears when we are entering weimar. the circle is closed. first advice: dont go to elba it stinks in summer! 7 persons 8 cars la cita con azahara en su primer día en la ciudad no es posible. nos quedamos sin casa. first bier infront of Goethe´s house. on the way to the park we find a squater. we asked only for a bier, we got bier-rum-vodka...and a bed to sleep. zu einfach! too easy! |

2 weimar/dresden not so easy to wake up. shower and breakfast, a round with to much sun around weimar. we come again to Goethe´s house, with aza they invite us in a restaurant. empezar a hacer autostop a las cuatro y media puede ser no recomendable. aun así lo hacemos Jork: nur bis ausfahrt Christian: history clumsy nice teacher. he leaves us in teufelsale. Netter: old kind man. Sandro: nos la hizo. he leaves us in the worst place: a no man´s land petrolstation.the sun is gone Dirk: things can allways get worse: in the outskirts from Döbeln there is hell. a place where michael moore will film his next movie: young people with hiperdecorated cars [coches maqueados, alerones por allí, ruedas quemadas por allá], they acellerate when they are stopping, drink, they go just there to show themselves, lo más chusco entre lo chusco. a simple petrol station with a macdonalds beside. from there we wanted to scape but...no way. there were no foreigner cars [from outside Döbeln]. no chance. lost any hope. thinking on sleeping there. it was 22:30. then appears as the angel in hell: Wolfgang Pfeiffer: he is not exactly going to dresden but he leaves us in there. albertplatz. noch mal in dresden. in some minutes we arrive at home. joanna und marcin were waiting. the best durum kebap in the world with two half litre Radeberger Bier. then home. we have no boat. |

4 dresden/zgorzelec we have no boat. marcin und joanna take us to their heimat town: zgorzelec. a morning in the lake after a good breakfast. it is our first direct contact with the water. the night goes on looking both sides of these two towns separated by the border: görlitz und zgorzelec. the end is in a bar with guitar heros. beer 9%. |

5 zgorzelec/praha we have no boat. with buses till Zittau. 2 hours walking under the sun: 1.Poland 2.Germany 3.Pollen 4.Check Republic this is the order of die grenzen we go trough. then a train and after not succeding with autostop a train an a bus to prague. juan is not there. he is gone. we follow a couple towards the castle, they have sleeping bags, they maybe know Where is the place to sleep. we lose them... |

6 praha/decin at least we have a boat!! 1/we woke up in the garden, near the castle of Prag; thanks to the owner of two dogs for doing nothing while they were trying to bite us. 2/we joined a group of people to see "something with interest for tourist"; a group of polices joined us; we got the castle, also many cameras; we were in a movie; the staff thought we were extras. 3/we tryed to get a sport shop to buy a boat; we found one of second quality; much cheaper than in germany; of course we bought. 4/we wanted to scape from the town, we asked in the shop where in prag could we start; a man offered to take us to the place where to begin the boat trip; minutes after we discovered he was going to Usti, we went there. 5/the very moment had come: we were sailing the elbe!! 6/that night we slept near Decin with chezck young people; we could not nearly understood ourselves. |

7 decin/königstein step by step we managed to controll the boat. first pablo at the back and then with alfonso things worked. we did not move making circles. a bath on a beach, sun everywhere, and painfull arms at night. |

8 königstein/dresden 13.08.03 after our first bad windy day we got to dresden totally destroyed. we were catched by the police. a man and a woman, both with moustache, asked "which is the name of your boat?". as we had no name on our boat [we already need one] we got a fine: 10 euro and "dont do it again". the point is that it is not allowed to go in so big river like Elbe without a name in your boat. but that is FALSE! dundak would tell us days later that this law is only for at least 5 metres long boats, not at all for us in our 3.80m gummiwurst. after a long tiring day in the river, and so much wind we bconsidered to change the way towards berlin. instead elbe -> spree |

9 dresden 14.08.03 rest day. we needed to recover energy. we could have endlich a shower. we were again in the haus of joanna and marcin. we visited hellerau by night. by internet we got in touch for the first time with dundak. he offered us a lift to spreewald. after talking with him he was going to pick us to home at 8:00 in the morning of the following day. |

10 dresden/ burg (ober spreewald) / lübennau (lubnjow)
15.08.03 roland, allias dundak, leave us in burg with his map. spreewald is a forest crossed by hundreds of chanels. a lot of tourist for a one day kajak travel or big boats like the gondolas in venezia and germans drinking beer early in the morning. the waters are very quiet, the opposite from Elbe´s. very nice to go trough the forest in a boat. very difficult to find a place to sleep. in the end we managed to do it in a tiny grass. hidden. |

20 berlin/ hamburg 25.08.03 after the longest time waiting for a car, 6 unending hours, Silke took us directly from berlin-pankow to the coolest place in hamburg [HH]: schanze [o era sanse]. 3 hours of non stoping autobahn-highway and the beauty of the sun going down. we reach martin hours later after some wrong calls and a döner. |
